woodworking with the heart and the hands
Our mission:
To restore and strengthen cultural identity for Native American youth and families.

Our vision:
We know that it is critically important for every young person to have positive, supportive adult mentors to aid him or her in their transition from childhood to adulthood. We believe that Red Tail Woodworks will make a difference by providing educational support through cross-generational, culturally relevant mentoring to Native American youth. We know that teaching people how to work with their hands will have a lifelong positive effect on their lives. We believe that teaching youth and young adults practical hands on carpentry skills will have an empowering effect on them as they seek to find jobs or possibly starting their own business.

Red Tail Woodworks  was pleased to host a workshop for the elders from the NAYA community. We had a great time learning from each other about life and also woodworking. It was a good day!
